Welcome back to Tech Service Today's IT Disaster of the Week series where we post the ugliest IT environment our technicians run into each week.

This week's featured network was chosen because of the end-user's impressive levitation skills. At least our initial impression was that magic was being used to make their router float out in front of their other rack-mount equipment. But upon closer inspection, it turned out that the cobweb of cabling chaos was holding it in place

This disaster is another prime example of why IT professionals must remember to include vertical and horizontal cable managers in their network rack designs. Cable managers are probably the least expensive rack-mount component available, and yet the most frequently forgotten accessory (with the most disastrous consequences).

The only thing worse than failing to use cable management in your rack is failing to use professional IT technicians to install and maintain your network cabling and equipment. To avoid making this mistake - and seeing your network in a future IT Disaster Of The Week post - do what smart companies all over North America do. Rely on Tech Service Today's Cabling Cleanup Service to bring order back to your cabling chaos.
