Tech Service Today employee satisfaction blog for on-site IT service provider companies. Online surveys Q12.

At Tech Service Today we recently sent out an anonymous satisfaction survey to our employees and our results were at an all time high!

Close to 100% of our employees responded that they were VERY SATISFIED with Tech Service Today as a place to work.

We have been sharing some of our best practices in a series of blog posts to give you some ideas that might be helpful.

The last 8 weeks we covered the importance of creating and instilling a company culture,  hiring right, excellent employee benefits, employee incentives, leading by example, employee training opportunities, employee bonding, and empowering your staff with trust. This week we close our blog series with the importance of conducting a company wide employee satisfaction survey.

Employee Satisfaction Survey

After you have implemented all of your company’s employee satisfaction best practices, it is time to conduct a survey on how well you, your company and management teams are doing.

The best survey you can conduct is called the Gallup Q12. There are several sources you can utilize including Gallup and Survey Monkey.

We conducted ours through Survey Monkey. We recommend offering the survey to your staff every 6 months. This will enable you to see how you are doing, what areas you need to improve upon, what strategies you will create to improve employee satisfaction in those areas, implement and then re-evaluate. We find 6 months is the perfect amount of time to effectively complete this process.

We started implementing the surveys a year ago, our last survey was our 3rd one, and we were thrilled to see that our efforts have paid off and we are doing things right!

Here is a sample list of questions you will receive. We highly recommend this format. Also, doing this through an unbiased 3rd party portal is critical for anonymity in obtaining the most accurate results.

The Employee Satisfaction Q12

1. Do you know what is expected of you at work?

2. Do you have the materials and equipment to do your work right?

3. At work, do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day?

4. In the last seven days, have you received recognition or praise for doing good work?

5. Does your supervisor, or someone at work, seem to care about you as a person?

6. Is there someone at work who encourages your development?

7. At work, do your opinions seem to count?

8. Does the mission/purpose of your company make you feel your job is important?

9. Are your associates (fellow employees) committed to doing quality work?

10. Do you have a best friend at work?
